Hatboro Federal Savings Donates more than $222,000 in Support of Community Educational Programs
Bank's philanthropy makes education of tomorrow's leaders a top priority.

Hatboro Federal Savings, one of the area’s leading community banks, announced a $222,222 donation earmarked for nine local organizations that meet the criteria for Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).  The EITC allows tax credits for eligible businesses that contribute to a scholarship, educational improvement or pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.

Through years of generous, recurring contributions, Hatboro Federal Savings has assisted local educational foundations and community programs fulfill their missions of providing innovative programs and extraordinary learning experiences for students and children in the communities the bank serves.

The 2018 recipients of Hatboro Federal’s EITC contributions are Bucks County Community College Foundation; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County; CB Cares; Centennial Education Foundation; College Settlement; The Foundation for Lower Moreland Schools; Hatboro-Horsham Educational Foundation; the Union Library of Hatboro; and Upper Moreland Educational Foundation.

Linda Roehner, CEO of Hatboro Federal Savings, notes that the bank has always taken pride in supporting the communities it serves. “Since Hatboro Federal was founded more than 75 years ago, we have supported many educational foundations and organizations that benefit children of all ages in the communities we serve.” She continued, “This year’s contributions will direct funding to nine organizations that provide much-needed educational services in both Bucks and Montgomery Counties.”

Roehner added, “It gives us great pleasure to support organizations that enrich and enhance educational opportunities for students through special classroom programs, creative outreach programs and state-of-the-art instructional techniques. At Hatboro Federal, we consider the education of our children to be a top priority. They are tomorrow’s leaders, so the more we can motivate and excite them about learning today, the better,” added Roehner.
